As a trade painter I am always using rollers and this seemed like it would be a nice gadget to have as opposed to using the rounded edge of the 5 in 1 scraper tool as I had been doing for over 30 years... But after using it a few times I found that while it does work as described, I still find it much easier to continue using the five in one scraper... I found that using this product was a bit cumbersome and more messy than using the scraper and when cleaning it, I needed to rinse it with water whereas with the scraper, I can just use a single small rag... I will offer that this device is very husky for it being constructed of plastic so snapping it while using properly is highly unlikely.

My biggest gripe with this gadget is not really with the gadget itself but rather this is the only size it comes in, and as such, it only works on short nap rollers and not with 3/4 inch which is the size I most commonly use...

For me personally, I found it to be a 2 star product but I do give it 4 stars because most would find it useful and it does work quite well for its intended purpose.... One word of caution to amateur painters is not to use cheapo rollers with this because when you run this tool over a 'junk' roller to reclaim excess paint from your roller, the roller will potentially shed fibers into your paint can...

Fitment of this paint roller cleaner over the paint roller is very snug, as it needs to be to remove the maximum amount of paint possible from the roller. I've used this paint roller remover with 7/16 nap microfiber rollers and the amount of paint removed/saved instead of wasted is quite significant. I've also found the the easiest way to use this device is to stand the roller in the paint tray vertically and use your body weight to help push the remover down the roller. I would also suggest doing this with the paint tray on the floor.

For a minimal cost, this device will save you quite a bit of money by minimizing wasted paint from your rollers. Excellent product!

I don't like using rollers, in part because I hate cleaning them and because they waste a lot of paint. I'm in the middle of re-doing some cabinets and have to use a small roller for a smooth finish. While this product is meant for larger rollers, I thought I'd try it on what I'm currently using and I couldn't believe how much paint came out. I was able to scrape quite a bit back into the paint can for later.
"¨As long as your roller is not full of half dried paint bits or losing its nap, then you can absolutely save yourself a worthwhile amount of paint by using this.

Once you get some of the paint off the roller and back into the can, you can then use this with the water running to help get the rest out. Saved me some time trying to constantly wring it out by hand.

Worked well on a 1/4" nap roller cover for cleaning the residual paint and rinsing to clean the roller cover. Seems like it is beefy enough to last. Two diameters, larger for initial passes, smaller dia for final passes.
