I think maybe some have mentioned this but the advertisement says the remote comes with a battery but it does not. The good thing is that the wired remote is about 20 feet or so long so it mostly eliminates the need of the wireless remote but if you want to use it be forward that the battery does not come with it and it seems to be an oddball sized battery so good luck finding it. I have seen others mention this on other similar winches but it didn't say the remote came with the battery but this one did say that but still does not come with a battery, deceptive advertising and probably not enough for me to return it.
