This is a lovely piece. I bought it as a fruit bowl. I also bought a different sort of bowl for that purpose as well, so I would now like to use it as a serving bowl. There is no lead in the glass. It is heavy, but it is glass, so it might break if dropped. There appears to be a clear layer of glass over the green-blue base.
