The media could not be loaded. I am a pre-k teacher who uses 10 frame math with my 4/5 yr old students and, I have to say, this is a great little set especially for the price! I love that it has 6 different colors for the pieces, rather than just the 2 colors which are common in many 10 frame sets. The board and pieces are big and made of soft foam, which makes it easy to maneuver for little hands still working on fine motor control. The dry erase markers that come with the set do work very nicely, though they may not last very long in my experience with these types of small markers. I've also found that children tend to scratch the boards with erasers attached to markers, so I use my own markers and erasers with my students. The pieces and board both have a thin magnetic backing and the board sticks really well to magnetic surfaces. Some reviews complain that the magnets on the counting pieces are very weak, which is true when just used with the board. However, when you stick the board to a metal surface, like a fridge or a small cookie sheet, they seem to stick much better. For me, the weak magnets don't bother me much because it makes it easy for kids to move the pieces and there are so many other positives to the set. The only other possible negative I can think of is that the foam the pieces are made from is soft, so it can easily be dented if something hard is pressed into it (such as anything plastic or, say, sharp little fingernails) and sometimes children are tempted to bite things made of this material. The box everything comes in is great for storing the set when not in use.

My kids love playing with these magnets. My son absolutely loves numbers so we use it during math time the most. I have it all set up on our refrigerator so it can be used by anyone throughout the day. My youngest likes to count the circle magnetic pieces. It comes with a dry erase marker and wipes clean easily. I like that it comes with a lot of magnetic pieces.

My kid loves learning his addition and subtraction because he thinks he's playing, and it's a very direct way to teach simple math. By the way, the dots did not come with the spots on them, that was his doing. I had no issues with the magnets, they all stuck the way they should and I like that you can stack the magnetic pads to make more room for bigger numbers. It also came with two markers with erasers on the cap. I can't recommend this enough!!!!!!

I purchased this since I'm homeschooling my boys this year and wanted this to make math more engaging for them. My son was so excited he could hardly wait to use it to play our "adding game." I am so happy I purchased this to make learning fun for them! Definitely recommend. The magnets are very light weight and soft foam. The magnets haven't given me any trouble.
