We purchased this to help us backflush our RV gray and black tanks. No more trying to estimate how much water is going into them. The only challenge is keeping the meter on gallons instead of litres. Oh well, just have to be better at using metric. Overall, it is doing exactly what we needed it to do.

I ordered this to check the flow on a drip system that I'm putting in for some newly planted trees. The flow was much initially higher than I wanted, so I added a pressure reducer to bring it down until this device indicated 2.3gpm. I don't have calibrated equipment to compare it against, but the amount of fertilizer used by the inline injection system agreed with the 2.3gpm reading.
Easy to install, and easy to use. Make sure you have an idea of your expected measurement though, the flow may be out of range for a bigger irrigation system.

With an ongoing drought in the West, it is important to manage water usage in my garden. A drip system irrigation system makes it is hard to gauge actual water usage. The drip emitter rating poorly reflects actual flow, and the soil never gets wet on the surface. Placing this flow meter permanently in-line on the watering valve's out port addresses my needs. It is sturdy for that use, especially the solid female connector. Alternate products like Save-a-Drop have a flimsy female connector that easily breaks off. I wish Irribiz also came as 3/4 in NPT connectors, not just 3/4 in hose connectors. Pipe-to hose adapters solve the problem, but they substantially add to system cost.

If you have reason to know the amount of water flowing, look no further. This product took less than 5 minutes to install, shuts itself off to save battery life (which purports to be 6 months, but is not yet verifiable due to length of ownership) and seems to be sturdy enough to last.

The device arrived with the battery installed which was okay. I carefully read the instructions as to which way the water flow should be. It seemed incorrect then I realized I didn't switch it from liters to gallons! Then I saw an arrow on the back of it that showed flow so connected it up that way. Pretty accurate, only off by 10 percent at a low flow rate of 2 1/2 gallons a minute. Perfectly acceptable. I ended up using my existing quick connects rather than ones that they supplied and connecting it directly to a hose, so I didn't have to change my whole Quick Connect system around. Other units I tried did not have that capability.
Seems sturdy enough, but one must handle the connection group with care as it does make a long connection between the hose and the root feeder. This will really help me make sure that my new trees get the amount of water weekly that they need!
