We used to use a phone to take cards with square and this machine has made our efficiency go up greatly. On a busy day, we are able to serve customers quicker and make their experience better. This also makes it much easier to track all sales including cash. Our accuracy of merchandise sold has greatly improved since getting this machine.

This really gives my booth an upscale feel but I somehow overlooked where it says it has to be powered. I was under the impression it is powered by the ipad but that's not true. We had to buy an additional power source for it. But the device does work great, once powered.

We upgraded to this new square reader stand design. It looks very professional and is easy to install. The only small setback is the electrical cord is a little awkward to move around if you will be moving the stand throughout the day. We keep the stand about 2 feet back on the counter until a customer is ready to pay. And the heavy cord is a bit awkward to move those 2 feet each time. But not a problem. If your stand will be stationary, you won't even notice. I recommend this.

I bought this for my herbal shop. I was using a little chip that plugged into my business partners phone or mine. Those worked fine but some people are weird about you swiping the card. This is easier and they are able to do it and sign it . It swivels around also. I bought the oldest iPad and refurbished to make it cheap and it's working great. It does come with a mount to screw into your counter .but it has enough weight that it isn't needed and has grip rubber to keep in place and not slide around. It's been a fine upgraded to help my business Ed's look more professional .
