Strong and Durable

I attempted to use the screws that came with it but they were cheap and stripped. So I resorted to using just the sticky strips. And let me tell you, once you are able to get it off the plastic it's stuck to and onto the metal and cabinet, it's not going anywhere!
Tip: Tacky first magnet with sticky strip to cabinet door. Then put sticky strip on second magnet. Put magnet to magnet and then close cabinet without having to line up and measure. Close cabinet tightly so back of second magnet sticks to cabinet.

Worked perfectly

I had some cabinet doors that were "sprung" slightly, and didn't naturally close snug against the cabinet any anymore. These magnets do exactly what I was hoping, and were easy to install. I had no trouble with the screws (a complaint of other users), so it's possible they've been improved. The only flaw I found is that of the 12 ordered, one magnet was broken in the package, but I'd ordered extra thinking I'd have problems with the screws, so it wasn't a problem for me. One other comment is that I found the placement tape to be useless --it really didn't work as intended, but the were easy to install skipping that step. I'd worried that these would look clunky, or wouldn't hold firmly, but they're great. Glad I got them..
Magnets are stronk.

These work great for keeping your cabinets shut. I've got a cat who acts like my cabinets are portals to magical dimensions, so these are a necessity. However, I would recommend using the adhesive strips if you can, and not the screws. Interestingly enough, the screw heads kept snapping off when I was trying to install them. Kinda crappy quality. So unless you've got your own stronger screws, the strips are ideal.

Stops less-determined cats from getting into cabinets

I got these to stop my cat from opening every single cabinet. Sometimes its cute to go to get a pan and theres a cat sleeping in the back, other times its not cute when they get near the cleaning supplies. Won't even mention the one where the cat food is kept... oh boy.
Well just using one pair of the magnets was pretty ok against one lazy cat. They aren't too strong so sometimes I forgot they were there. The downside is when you get a very determined cat (and thus I assume child as well) and they can open whatever you've locked up with a few tries, so you need to just keep adding them until the mischief maker can no longer open it. But that also means you need to pull it harder to open it.
Installing them is kind of a pain. If you have short nails, don't even think about trying to remove the red adhesive backing and just use tweezers. Once you stick those bad boys on a surface, they now live there forever. You must live with this choice. Seriously, to remove one I put on wrong, I had to get 2 butter knives to make a wedge to lift and pry up the magnet (PRO- it did not mess up the surface it was on when I took it off). Also, once installed, I closed the cabinet and it didn't connect like magnets were born to do. I checked that yes, I put them on the right sides to attract. I left the door shut for a few hours and when I came back, it was magnetized perfectly. Like a Christmas miracle.
All in all, I recommend these. They stick on well, when they attract after installation its very strong, I don't think a pet or child can easily take them off, and they keep my cat away from my delicious tide pods under the sink.
