This is nice enough, but I ordered it thinking it would would be Chinese blue, not the teal that it is. I wouldn't have paid this much for teal. :-(

I like the lapis-blue color of this umbrella stand. The gold rim is a nice contrast to the deep blue on the body of the stand. It reminds me of an Egyptian urn.
Some reviews mention that the interior was not painted or poorly painted. I was glad to see the manufacturer is now painting ( at least half way down) the interior. It would have been a nicer surprise to have it completely finished off inside too.
There is a BIG difference between normal variation and a defect. One pedal on my umbrella stand is NOT very good ( see photos ) - it is clearly visible. This defect was not sufficient for me to return the item.
I like it -- just wish the Quality Department did a better job. Overall it is not too heavy, its sturdy and attractive.
