I purchased this for travel after getting sick of dragging bottles of water to hotel rooms. What a difference this has made! Since I only use it for travel, I'm hoping the filter will rarely need replacing. Even if your mini fridge is too small, it's nice to have filtered room temp water and you can always go to the ice machine if you need it cold. So far, very satisfied with this purchase. I have a lot of confidence in Brita products so for what I need, the price was fair.

I am picky. I knew what I wanted. I generally stock up on cases of Aquafina water bottles and moved to an apartment complex that does not share my belief in recycling. Brita is the only answer. The 10 cup was too big and heavy when filled (I'm a senior). The slim at 5 cups did not seem to hold enough water. I love the 6 cup with the Elite filter and it is not too heavy when filled. It provides a color indicator on top to let me know when I will have to change filters. Each Elite filter is good for approximately 6 months. The pitcher fits on my refrigerator shelf with room left over. If I had to add a negative, it would be that I should have purchased two of them! I use it for drinking water, filling water containers when I go out, filling my ice cube tray, and filling my Keurig coffee pot. I thought about the Brita that would attach to the sink; however, I wanted my water cold on demand. Great gift for self or household with growing children, and especially for senior parents.

I have an over the counter water filter which I'm still using. But the water here is so gross I needed something extra. You can smell the chlorine when running the faucet. I can't afford a whole house system (wish I could) and really nowhere to put it, no space. So I figured I'd use this in addition to the already filtered water. It really helps a lot and the water tastes much better. I'm even using it for my cats' water. I do wish I'd gotten the bigger size though as I have to constantly refill this, so that's on me. But I'm so glad I got this, it really makes a difference.

My parents have the red one and say it's a Must Have. They were right. I ordered this in Turquoise a few days ago, and I love it! Easy to set up. Easy to clean. Water tastes much better now! I'm also using it to brew tea and I pour it in the pets' water dishes. I am refilling it quite a bit, but if that means I'm drinking more water, that's fine! I also appreciate that it includes a filter. At first, I thought it wasn't there, then I clicked the lid open and there it was! Lol Much better for the environment and our bank accounts! I used to have a much larger brita pitcher but when it was full it was a bit heavy to hold. This one doesn't take up a lot of fridge space and I can easily lift it when full. The replace filter indicator light is also helpful so you don't have to keep track of how many times you filled it to know when to replace the filter.
