There was some small delay in prime delivery due to an event which Amazon did not go into. No problem as this has happened before, but very rarely. It took me only 20 minutes to put the stand together. Two pedestal parts and four legs. A normal person could have done this in seven minutes, but I am a klutz with tools. Only one screw driver was needed. The globe and mechanism underneath were already assembled and configured for coin use.
Any coin size, up to a quarter will work. This includes most slugs and foreign coins. I was in a dilemma about requiring a coin because I did not want guests who came to my home office to think I was cheap. I had intended have a cup with pennies next to it. But this problem did not happen!
I filled the globe with M&M's and they were small so each coin gave me six to seven M&M's. I then tried the dial without coins. It should not have worked, but"¦ with each turn two or three would fall out! I did not have to set it for no coin use. This may not work with the larger gum balls. So I was able to get free candy! This solved another problem. If I had configured it to no coins needed, I would continually be using it with seven M&M's coming out. The calories would build up. I am fat enough as it is. This way, I might be able to control my weight. I would also be able to tell my guests the "secret" to getting the candy without using a coin. The price was right too.
Added June 9, 2017. I have to correct that last paragraph. I inferred that there were extra "unpaid" candies that could come out after twisting the dial for the paid candy. Not quite true, as I found out. All subsequent times, I only got the candy once for each coin inserted. I am guessing after the initial filling of the machine more candy than usual went into the open chute.
