Make sure you heat it for about seven minutes, turn it off real quick then add the floss sugar. Use the scoop that comes with it, and then turn back on. The kids loved it and adults. It was pretty tasty. Floss sugar was best because it wasn't as sugary.

This retro cotton candy machine is ideal for my kitchen because it has a fifty's diner feel to it. Although it is not the fastest and requires time and patience, it works well, is simple to use, and even children can do it under adult supervision.

The feet on the bottom ensure that the machine won't move while it is in operation. A few materials are provided, but more are needed. This works really well for a family gathering or movie night. This includes the user-friendly instruction manual, which describes how to operate the machine and subsequently maintain and clean it.

There is a definite learning curve to this, so do be aware of that.
