Ok. So I ordered this for my dad's (who has everything .. tough to buy for ) 80th bday next week. A friend suggested this to me .
I received it tonight (seriously) and I have been adding photos for two hours !
So it's super easy. I literally got it , opened it up, plugged it in and connected to my wifi . Downloaded the app . Started adding photos from my iPhone . Setup asks u if this is a gift !!!! I planned on pre-populating hundreds of photos for dad when I give it to him next week . So you can invite people to send photos to the aura frame . I invited both my kids. I opened my photos and literally scrolled to the very beginning of my photos .
I will say u should only select 20-30 at a time to send to Aura . I did 66 at on point and it wouldnt let me send that many . It's fine .
Go into settings to set all the image durations etc . Easy
I can't tell you how special this is. I just ordered one for me (it's on sale rn Black Friday!) I sat in the living room sending photos .. finally got up and when to the kitchen where it's plugged in"¦ omg . I was tearing up watching the photos . It's so wonderful that people can send photos to this device .. it's so easy . All the years of pics we all have and don't share or send or have a place to watch. I literally want to send one to so many people . Prepopulate the machine with some pics and then let them send whatever they want .
I bought an external drive for cd's. I have 40 cds with pics of my kids when they were babies . I can't wait to send them to the aura for dad .
This is absolutely brilliant . Brilliant .
I have not been so gobsmacked in a long long time . It's easier than almost any tech I have . Shocking .
And btw - the frame I bought is perfect . Very nice . So impressed .

I recently purchased the Aura 10.1" frame, actually, I've purchased NINE of them. My family is spread out across the country, so staying connected and sharing moments is really easy with this product. We also have businesses with offices in California and South Carolina. The Aura frame has provided a way to make remote staff feel that they are part of the team. We've had other digital frames before but it required that photos be emailed to the frame so we didn't use it much at all.

A great feature is the ability to give others access to your frame, even if they don't have their own frame. It's so easy and fun to see new photos that my loved ones drop into the frame. Whether it's a candid moment or a special occasion, (it seems that pet photos are the most common) each new picture is a nice surprise and it helps maintain a connection to my friends and family even though they are far away.

The picture quality of the Aura is great. It's also nice that it supports short video clips.

What really impressed me was how user-friendly this frame is. My 72-year-old mother, who often calls me for tech support, was able to set it up all by herself. The setup process was so straightforward and intuitive that she had it up and running without needing to contact me for help. This ease of use is a huge plus, making the Aura accessible to everyone, regardless of their technical skills.

I've been so impressed with the Aura Carver that I've bought nine of them now for various family members and friends. It's become a great way for us to stay connected and share our lives with each other, despite the distance.

I've also included a screenshot of the app showing that you can easily select multiple frames to share photos with at the same time.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking to add a touch of warmth and connection to their home. It's also been the most popular gift we've given in a long time.

Im a photographer, so I have thousands of pictures and it's impossible to choose which ones to print. I loved the concept of a high quality digital frame to display my work. I have tried many products that promise me that, but they all have huge issues like screen quality, terrible software experience or just plain uglyness.

The Aura Frame is the first digital frame that just works. It looks good on my living room, the screen is of a good enough quality, the app works great, the ambient light sensors work perfectly.

The one feature I was surprised I loved was the easy setup experience to give the Aura frame as a gift for my parents. They are terrible with technology, so being able to easily set everything up for them from anywhere in the world was great. That's why I bought 2. One for me and one for my parents, and they love them, because they have up to date pictures of their grandkids.

I have 3 issues I would like to see improved:

1) Make the screen a 3:2 ratio. Almost all cameras and phones shoot pictures in a 3:2 ratio, but the Aura frame screen ratio is 16:10. So the software automatically crops pictures so they fill the screen. This is annoying and sometimes messes up the composition of my photos. The software lets me "uncrop" the pictures, but only one by one. I would love is there was an option to avoid cropping ALL pictures. I have thousands of them, I don't have the time to go one by one. Or bettet yet, use a 3:2 screen. Problem solved.

2) Fix the randomness of photos. I don't know why, but the frame tends to show me the same few photos all the time, instead of randomly going through the thousands I have in my gallery. Seems like a basic software thing and an easy fix. Maybe program "not show this picture again until all other pictures in the gallery have been shown".

3) Use a screen with better viewing angles. The screen is fine, but it could be better, specially at different angles. I would love to pay for an OLED screen with true blacks and great viewing angles.

In summary, Im very happy with the product and company. I hope they do well, so they keep improving their products with better screens and hopefully, bigger sizes.

The designers really went all out on this frame. It's got an Apple quality feel to it, with very well thought out design at every turn. The image quality is good, crystal clear resolution, plenty bright (but not too bright), a matte finish appearance to look more like a photo.

There are a handful of flaws:
The sticky protective film on mine did not come off fully, and it took me about 30 minutes of smudging my fingerprints all over the display trying to roll the sticky residue off. Luckily, it cleaned up okay and looks brand new still.
The power cord is a bit difficult to get into the back, requiring a pretty significant bend in the cord to pop the square block into place.
It doesn't come with a drywall anchor, just some nails to put in the holder. I think it will be okay in my case, the nail goes in at a sharp angle and appears to be able to hold the frame without too much force being applied, but it does make me nervous. The frame probably works best with the included hangar, so I'm going to just hope it doesn't fall over time.
It would be nice if the border around the frame was about half the size. I haven't measured, but it looks like the 15 inch measurement includes the massive border, so it's not really a screen size of 15" (I have not verified).
It takes a long time for photos to appear in the frame after you load them. Aura is storing all of the photos on their own server and serving them to the picture frame as needed, so without internet, the frame will not work.
Because of this, the videos don't play smoothly at all, very choppy and random frame rates. The benefit of doing it this way is that the picture frame can hold unlimited photos. However, if the company ever goes out of business, we'll lose the ability to use the frame. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about a company holding all of my photos on their own server.

They can't possibly make enough money from selling a product with a one time fee and then continously hosting ever increasing data for those frames. I almost guarantee you at some point they will require a subscription service to pay for that data storage, and should have just made it that way from the start to be honest. In the mean time, I'll enjoy the frame, and figure if I can get a year or two out of it before needing to buy one with a local SD card, that will be fine. Fingers crossed

Love having this digital photo frame! It was easy to set up & works seamlessly. Color is great, & it is as good as the reviews say. Great gift or just but it for yourself!
