This painted drain strainer is quite durable, having the longest-lasting finish of all of the other sink drains we have previously ordered for our hammered copper 60-40 farm-style sink. Assuming you have a garbage disposal, from experience, we suggest the drain stainer be removed when discarding caustic liquids like bleach or coffee maker cleaner, cleaning paint brushes, draining boiling wastewater (pasta, potatoes, etc), or if gritty cleansers are in use when manually scrubbing pots and pans.

I was plagued with garbage filling up and stressing my disposal. I had to constantly run it to make the sink drain. I took a chance and ordered these. What an improvement! They fit my standard sizes drains. They stay put when washing dishes or wiping down the sinks. I am very happy with this product. They have enough holes so that they don't quickly clog. Easy to take out and tap into the garbage bin. Buy these! You won't be disappointed.
