Pretty good, goes fast, less smelly than frothpak

I bought Frothpak 600ish to do two walls, one was 15 long with a window and other was 12 long with a window. It only lasted my about 2/3 of the room and even with safety equipment with P100 filter I could still smell some of the odor.
This Akfix is a bit different.
1. It costs less; a huge factor
2. Slightly lower R value (not much)
3. I'd say less messy than Frothpak (but that's my personal experience) but still a little messy
4. Very easy to apply but have to put new cans on frequently as they really do go fast
5. Comes with some basic safety equipment, but I went a bit further and got a tyvek suit, neoprene gloves, and full face mask. The glasses it came with were broken in the box due to probably poor packing.
Overall, i enjoyed working with this foam on my wall as it let me finish the job that Frothpak started. Also, i ended up buying another pack to do a small part of the basement.
I'd recommend it.

The product itself is fine, the foam seemed to have some difficulty staying on a perfectly horizontal surface but that is likely a me error. I used this to insulate the bottom of a stick built shed 8x12. I jacked it up using a handy man and blocked the skids. without thinking about this ahead of time, i realized the can sticking out the top of the applicator gun would most likely screw my eyes out and it did. huge mess, struggle bus the whole way to completion but I eventually got it.
pros: got way more board feet than was advertised. I ordered enough to do 300 board feet and got closer to 350 from these cans. maybe its my altitude or something but it went on very thick and its expansion was quite a bit. not a single can was defective and the applicator gun worked great.
cons: like I said, if you have to do horizontal spraying like under a crawl space, make sure you have a few feet of height to tilt that can and gun up. Trying to move quickly while having very little space to work with equates to a miserable messy experience. destroyed my clothes, got the foam in my beard and hair, etc.

Two out of 12 cans had zero pressure in them. That is 16.67% failure rate with this order. The foam is expensive to begin with and this waste made it worse. When the product works, it is great. Very easy to apply, fast and the clean-up can makes cleaning the foam-gun very easy. If all the cans worked, I would have rated this a 5

Used to insulate a basement cement wall. Went on just fine and no issues with DOA cans. Okay for electrical coverage but DO NOT spray on CPVC water pipes - read CPVC mfgr caution on their website. A little foam overspray on black ABS is fine.
