Changed My Life - Literally!
Bruce B✓ Verified Purchase•July 15, 2023
I haven't worn a watch in over 40 years and had not considered doing so until I read about their Ballistics watch.
Watch is a misnomer just like "cell phone". What blew me away was what they were describing regarding features from a quantum leap in smart watch capability.
So I purchased one"¦
Convinced myself that I would do more hiking, swimming, walking, range time, and a laundry list of other cool things I haven't seen before. This really is a non-invasive man-machine interface completely configurable by the user's own metrics for their own lifestyle activities. Like, Where's My Dog?" Nice to have if you live on a farm!
After wearing it for a couple of days I wondered if I would get used to how heavy and cumbersome it felt initially. Now that I've had it on pretty much 24/7 I no longer think about it. I've tried several bands and they all have the outs and takes. I now prefer the metal link quick release version.
The pulse rate, O2 Levels, walking distance, elevation change, sleep patterns, location, and mobile device interface are all very accurate. The battery charge lasts me at least a week or more. Easy and quick to recharge (less than one hour).
I also found the developers' world with large numbers of display and data visualizations. And a large selection of apps to download like Spotify, Altimeter, Athletic Training library, etc.
And Dog Track!

The “Ferrari†of Modern digital watches

This IS a modern computer strapped to your wrist. And it will only improve over time as more apps are designed to operate on it. The one (& Only) issue that I wish had a clearcut easy solution is my eyes. My aged eyes need reeding glasses for the smallest visuals. This is obviously of no fault to Garmin & the folks that designed this amazing piece of tech.
Great GPS and AB

Great watch! Does everything (most of it well.) The altimeter is usually off by 30-90 feet, however if you calibrate it often it gets better and I can not get the pulse oximeter to work. The GPS and Advanced Ballistics are the selling points, hook this up to your range finder, program in your dope and you are good to go. The instructions are severely lacking.
Amazing watch with all the bells and whistles

The watch has an amazing battery life up to 8 days with no recharge from the sun or plugged in. Great for backpacking hiking and hunting. While out in nature it is great to know where I am even if my phone doesn't have signal. All in all it is an amazing watch and the tactical ability with this watch is great. It doesn't play any sounds while using it. It is nice to have a ballistics calculator right on my wrist at the range which causes less disturbance from shot to shot.
Durable with many capabilities

I have enjoyed this watch now for over 1 month. It tracks my steps and floors much more accurately than fitbit ever did. Haven't had muc opportunity to recharge via solar but when i have it seems as if it would take a lot to recharge the battery. But it's not of the utmost importance to me. I love the size of the watch and the bands are excellent too. Just wish i had some sort of bezel protection from scratches. The glass is excellent though.
