As a cigar smoker, I'm banished to the back porch of my house. Not a bad thing, but the porch has a cement patio, and I was worried a ceramic ashtray would break if it fell or was blown off the table. I found this silicone ashtray, and it is perfect for my situation. It has survived drops, being frozen solid, and works just like it should. If I had one complaint, you need to be careful balancing your cigar on the ashtray because the lip is somewhat narrow. Minor nit at best...I haven't had a problem balancing any cigar on the ashtray.
