The first one I had cut through paper and when I didn't press hard enough only half would show up. They sent a replacement and it is perfect! Looks amazing, doesn't cut through at all and is even throughout. Love it and will definitely use it on my books!

This seal will cut the paper as described in other reviews. I've no problems with that as I'm using it on flyleaf weight pages. It would cut through notebook weight paper. If used for the intended purpose I don't see an issue.
It packs away neatly in a slim package that's easily stored in a pencil drawer, handy for that new volume when it arrives. It's easy to use and doesn't require a great effort to get a good impession. It's made so that I get uniform impressions even though thickness of the paper may vary somewhat.
If you're a book lover this is a nice touch to make your books your own.
