This book was recommended quite a few times on TikTok so I decided to pick it up, and I'm glad I did. I read it in one sitting, and while it was short it was very well written, and honestly funny at times. I love the main character, Muriel, and find it funny that her first reaction when seeing a random creature is to look at it and basically go "I'm taking you home with me". I won't spoil much of it but it was a good quick horror/romance story that reminded me of a mix of hellraiser/the creature from the black lagoon/the shape of water

It was a quick read with a satisfying ending. A little confusing at parts, but it feels intentional. Only thing that could have made it better was a more drawn out and colorful storyline. I read it in like 4 hours
A fantastic bloody book!

David Sodergren has become one of my favorite authors. The Haar was a bloody, heartwarming, and great book. I highly recommend reading it.
Not the best but pretty good

I want to preface that the rating I want to give it is more of a 3.5/5. The story is good, but the climax/ending felt a bit rushed, making me feel like it was a bit short. I also felt there were a couple character inconsistencies and cartoonish characters, but it was fun. It makes me think of it more like goosebumps for adults, and if you're an avid reader it can be read over a weekend.
