My gosh, I bought this on a whim for a camping trip with the kids. Lake McConaughey in Nebraska is Windy about 50% of the time, very windy.

I almost didn't break it out thinking I'd probably get the eye rolls from my kids when I ask them to go fly a kite with me.

First of all, this is not the little triangle kite you remember flying as a kid. This is a parachute going to mock 10 and damn near pulling you off your feet. I was having a blast with it until the kids got a hold of it. Once they got their hand on it they flew it from midday until the darkness of night made it impossible.

Word of caution, if you're going to let your kids fly it, I strongly advise that you are present when the time comes to pack it back up. I left the scene and the kite came back in a tangled mess. It took me hours to fix it.

Last note, we were able to use this thing for only about one day due to the strings getting tangled so I'm not a pro.. That said, it seems to me that it takes two people to manage this thing. It would be very hard to fly it on your own.

I just moved to a windy place near the beach and was looking for a kite I could fly with my kids. This is great because it won't break if it crashes.

This is also so much fun to fly. In about 8 knots of breeze it flies beautifully and is a great introduction to stunt kite flying. Mine's taken a beating so far. The kite and control lines are top-quality and well worth the price.

The first day I flew the kite some dogs came running over to see it, and then their owner came running after them. The good news is that the owner was cute and I'd never had met her if I hadn't been flying this kite. The bad news is that I was very much giving off "the guy flying a kite" vibe, which isn't as attractive as you might think. If you're looking to score a date with this kite, look elsewhere.

This kit is great for the beach. Needs 15mph winds and above to stay up but rays to fly. Pull right to trim right pull left to turn left. Once you learn that you can start doing tricks.
