Bought multiples cycling shoes, dealing with plantar fascia pain and high arches, even tries custom inserts to no avail. Had to limit my rides to 30min due to gradual pain. Now I'm able to do 45 no pain :-) very comfortable, may get another pair for outdoor riding!

Is this a must-buy is you already have the original Peleton shoes? Not for me. It's not like the original clasp is that uncomfortable, or the original fit is that bad.
Having that said, this newer shoe is definitely a more comfortable version. The fabric is way softer, there are less plastics used that firm up the previous version, and the single velcro strap adds to the lightweight feel. I can't talk about the durability of this shoe, but so far I definitely prefer it because is just gives less pressure around your feet during intense workouts.
(and btw, it came with the Peleton cleats included for a new purchase)
