The ground stakes will penetrate 4 inches into the ground so if you are attempting to use these on hard or compacted ground, they can also be used without the ground stakes.
• •INSTALLATION – Click all four ground stakes into the bottom of each stepping stone, create a level ground surface in your desired location, then push down into the ground. Each Stepping stone only weighs 1.2 pounds and has a maximum weight limit of 300lbs.

Because of its durability, it is mainly used in the industry for making outdoor furniture.
