Canopy is awesome / Weight is reasonable / Great Value

High Uintah Mountains tested and approved. The canopy on this tent is a game changer and is a super nice amenity. If you are not a fan of keeping your gear and everything with you inside of your tent you will love this. We were able to avoid the rain and keep our gear dry and very accessible without having to mingle it with our clothes and sleeping gear. The tent includes an outer shell and then ¾ of the shell has a place for a hanging screen room with a tarp floor that provides your sleeping area. Between the hanging screen room and the outer shell, there is about a 3" to 4" gap that provides a buffer so that rain or dew does not transfer to the sleeping area. Setting it up with one person could be done but would be a challenge. Two or more would be best. The outer shell must be staked to the ground and rope supports can be added for additional stabilization. The support poles for the outer shell run the same direction so the structure will not stand unless staked and counter supports pulling from all directions are in place. In general, the materials are good. I did not give it 5 stars as I am not a fan of white material and especially screens as the dirt shows more. Also, the bag it comes in is easy to work with but not too durable. The zipper broke on the first use of packing it back up. This is probably a luxury item as far as backpacking is concerned but its weight was well worth the comfort for a 3-night stay in the Uintah Mountains.
EXCELLENT CAMPING TENT

Nice and spacious tent with a porch. It is made of good quality material and the stitching seems to be very good.

It took me 31 minutes to assemble it , 5 minutes to disassemble and about 25 minutes to fold it back in the shape that will fit the back that it came in.

If there is a con on this tent, is the absence of a clear way to refold the tent. Because of the weird geometry of the tent, it took me a while to figure out the proper way to refold it.

Additionally, the website had this picture where the tent was configures with one end raised. But the two poles that were picture here (yellow arrows) are not included with the product. You only get the 3 poles that will form the framework of your tent.
Unique and effective approach to camping.

Only issue is height. I'm 6 foot. Sort of felt like Gandalf crawling into a hobbit house. Otherwise it's great!
Spacious and great for a small family

While this wasn't the most straightforward tent ive ever put up it is spacious enough and nice for my small family of 3. Materials held up well and overall I'm really happy with this tent.
A great tent for a small family; some nice features

The HIKERBRO Ayamaya tunnel tent is a nice tent that will accommodate up to three adults or a small family of up to two adults and two small children. I got it to replace the large four person tent I currently use that, while a great tent, is very difficult for even two people to set up in under 30 minutes.

I was able to set the Ayamaya up in about 15 minutes, by myself, on my second try. As I gain more experience, I'm confident I will be able to reduce that time even more. The tent comes with 18 stakes and six points where it can be guyed out with the included nylon line. I found that four stakes, two on each end, is probably enough on most days, but ten would probably be sufficient even when the wind is giving challenges.

Opposite the sleeping end of the long, narrow tent is a relatively large (78" L X 81" W X 51" H) vestibule, with two doors. The tent fly, which protects the area beneath from the elements, erects first and forms the vestibule and the sheltered area for the sleeping canopy. The sleeping canopy is then attached to the underside of the fly by a series of loops, attached to the fly, and plastic pins, attached to the canopy. I have set up tents in the rain a number of times and this ability to put up the fly first and then attach the sleeping canopy from underneath is a huge advantage. Furthermore, I found that one can leave the sleeping canopy attached to the fly when stowing the tent so the need to attach it can be skipped in the future.

The inside of the sleeping canopy, when erected, measured 44 inches high, 74 inches wide, and 86 inches long. But, because of the way the canopy attaches to the fly, it tends to sag. Consequently, the usable space is somewhat reduced from those figures. There are just two storage pockets inside the canopy and they are positioned so they hang on the floor. For a tent of this size, there should have been at least four storage pockets and they should have been positioned so they do not hang on the floor. Because the canopy is not taut, it takes two hands to slide the zippers on its single entry door. There is a handy hook on which a lantern can be hung just above the top of the door inside the canopy.

I pitched the tent, with its three vents fully open and both doors fully closed, for two day while, much of the time, it was raining. The tent was vacant for the two days, and there were some short periods in which the rain was coming down in torrents. I could not find any seam, vent, or zipper that showed any signs of leaking. There was, on the other hand, a fair degree of condensation buildup on the inside of the fly. None of the condensate dripped on or into the sleeping canopy.

The tent is a little cramped on height and a little heavy for backpacking, but I really liked the ease of setup. Additionally, I liked the spacious vestibule, which could be very handy, during periods of inclement weather, and I liked that one of the vestibule doors, by using a set of trekking poles, can be made into an awning for sitting under. All in all, I like this tent and feel it would make a great tent for a small family or two adults wanting a little extra room for stretching out.
