We just bought a lovely new couch because the dogs destroyed our last one (chewed the pillows, cover, etc.). We kept the old one covered with blankets and would pull them off when guests came. They looked ratty and awful and never stayed in place. When we got the new couch, we wanted to cover it with something nicer and keep it safe from the dogs. I had tried the covers before that just lay over the couch, and the dogs would kick them up and they didn't stay in place either. I read the reviews of a lot of products and this seemed to have good ones, though it's a bit pricey. First, to address the ease of installation: my 12 year old opened the package and neglected tell me it came with instructions. We were able to figure it our ourselves and had it on in just a few minutes. Super easy! It looks nice - it's a cover for a couch, so it's not going to look as nice as the couch itself, but we wanted to keep our new couch safe from the dogs so this does the trick. I like the scrunched fabric, too. It looks nice enough that when guests come over we don't need to take off, but we probably will as it was so easy to put on. I included a picture of the couch before, and after, and for fun, a picture of one of the couch wreckers. I didn't give this 4 stars because the material does seem thin - I'm hoping the dogs nails don't tear through it. Fingers crossed! If this lasts a year I'll be thrilled!! Update: 11 months later and it's still going strong. I do wish the fabric was a little more dog friendly and I do need to readjust it every few days, but I'm happy with it. Thinking of ordering another one for when this one is in the wash. Update: About 1 year later and I broke down and bought another one. The dogs finally tore a whole in it. Also, the threades that keep the fabric rounched always break I always seem to be cutting them. All in all, considering how nice it looks, I'm pretty happy with this and am surprised it lasted as long as it did. Again, would love a more durable dog-resistant material.

ORDER THIS!! I was so skeptical, like others.....but NO!!! It's absolutely AMAZING and AFFORDABLE!! The fabric is so bizarre (like a giant hair scrunchie) ......I thought it would be ghetto but once it stretches out on the couch, it's so cozy and inviting. I also love the fact that the fabric isn't a flat solid. This will conceal debris, hairs and not stick to sweaty legs. Other reviewers suggest installing pool noodles in crevices...great idea! But the company provides cardboard inserts too. Love the elastic clips to secure corners. You could also save up those little metal coffee bag clips to use on the remaining bottom edge which will still tend to hike up the back of your couch. Just clip on bottom edge of fabric and flip your couch up to find something to tack them onto underneath. My only (mild) complaint would be the fact that the fabric's pattern has lines which get crooked making it obvious that the cover has shifted around. If you are bothered by this, you're probably someone who could either afford a professional re-upholstery job or an entirely new couch. ENJOY

My sofa is a weird size and this l-shaped couch cover has helped extend its life and is comfy to sit in. I have a fluffy dog that gets mess everywhere and having a couch cover that I can wash is a game changer. I use mini pool noodles to shove the cover into place, the cardboard inserts it comes with we're fine but couldn't hold up to the dog.

As pictured, the cover looks pretty nice. Everyone likes the softness. To date, I have had this for 2 weeks. As with any couch cover, it will NOT continue to look like this, once Sat on. The cover has to be continually re-tucked in. I am going to order another cover that goes over each pillow, and see if that works better. I cannot comment on cleaning, as it is too new and hasn't gotten dirty. However, by the look of the fabric, personally I would spot clean & hang out of fear of shrinking. It is pretty & comfy - so that's nice at least. Until the other type cover comes. I will keep this and see which I like better, but the constant re- tucking of this cover becomes tiring & I wouldn't keep if I had pets ( would rip), or small - or any kids ,
Too much of a hassle. For just me, I deal.
