Set this tent up by myself at a state park. A little frustrating for one person but I managed. Here's what I found. FIRST, you MUST stake the four corners before assembly but leave a little room so the rain fly hooks can slide under the "rings". Staking the corners before assembly will force the gray poles to bend to the proper shape. Ensure the door is zipped closed before staking. SECOND, while the rainfly is loose on top of the tent, secure it to the poles with the velcro straps. Then hook it to the rings. If you follow these steps your tent will look like the picture. Pitching this tent is best done by two persons.
Update. This tent is waterproof. Heavy, excessive rain, mixed with acorns, for a solid five hours and absolutely no leaks. The one key thing that helps keep this tent dry is the reddish pole that spans the tent from side to side, down the middle. This pole keeps the rainfly from actually touching the tent, preventing wicking and sagging. I am serious, you cannot go wrong with this tent. I am upgrading to 5 Stars. It's the perfect size and weight too.

Where do I start?! I guess with-BUY THIS TENT!!! Due to the rising costs of just about everything, I decided to buy a tent to go on little outings on the weekends. Texas has great state parks! I searched awhile for a tent and after much to and fro, decided on this one. It was a great price and well within my budget.
When I received it, my husband and I put it up in the back yard. I was not expecting much as it was a little thin and some of the zippers were very tightly stretched when zipped up but that didn't bother me. Setup was very easy and fast.
I made reservations for a state park in the Texas Hill Country. We packed up everything including my 3 little dogs and set off for our camping adventure! We arrived at our destination and set up. It was hot so we did not put on the rainfly. Around midnight, we noticed flashes in the sky in the distance so hubs put the rainfly on. It was a little difficult in the dark with only a lantern but he finally got it on just in time. He semi attached the rainfly (only used the velcro to attach it to the poles of the tent, did not stake it down) as the storm was approaching fast! Not long after, the winds picked up, thunder was booming and lightning was flashing all around us. It starting pouring rain and the ground shook with every clap of thunder. My little dogs were terrified! The wind was terrible and I was waiting for all of us to become airborne while inside this tent! We were also praying hard that the rainfly would stay attached. If it blew off in this hard rain and ferocious wind, all of our stuff would be ruined. I cannot describe how hard the wind was blowing. After about 30 minutes of bad weather, it finally stopped. THIS TENT HELD UP!! EVERYTHING INSIDE WAS DRY!!! There was NO water leaking into this tent from the floor, sides, rainfly, windows or the door. None! We did have a footprint underneath the tent. I was shocked (and very relieved) at how great this tent held up! The rainfly stayed on and it was not fully attached! I am happy knowing this tent will hold up and keep us dry if we are ever in a bad thunderstorm again!

This tent will fit 2-3 people but it was great for just me and my dog. I was able to fit a double full air mattress and had the entire other half as a hang out area. I'd probably get a bigger tent if I want to fit more than 2 people with air mattresses. I like to have room to move around.

I loved this tent! The set up was sooooo easy. maybe 10 minutes the most with 2 people. The poles are color coordinated to make it easy to know where they go. super sturdy and roomy. I'm 5'9 and stood up easily in it. Only pet peeve was the zipper to get in and out. Was a little hard to open and close especially being its only one zipper not two different ones where they meet together like a lot of the tents I've been in. So you have to open just the one zipper all the way to get in and out and it can be a little stubborn. I will WD40 it for next time. Also, wished there were windows on the back of the tent, only front and sides. I did like the winder covers, it was nice to be able to zipper it open and closed however much to ventilate the inside. Other than those two minor things I am so happy with this purchase.

It only has the one way zipper and it's not fully waterproof on the rain fly. For the price I paid it's a decent tent. Easy set up with 2 sober people. Plenty of room and my 6ft husband can stand up in the middle area.
