We ordered this to meet the need of a disabled adult son to get out of the shower onto his Rollator. The assembly was rather simple, including a wrench to tighten the top area. It was convenient to locate right in the corner outside the shower. The handle is in just the right location for him to grasp it to help get the lift to stand beside his rollator. We really appreciate it.

While maybe or maybe not intended for use in the shower, that is exactly what I did with this product. I needed a grab bar in my shower but did not want to put holes in my tile. I placed it in my shower and tightened until the top and bottom were secure between the ceiling and floor. I did need to use a few shims to level it off because of the grade to the shower floor but all in all this product has really impressed me.

We put this Grab Bar in our bathroom. It is very sturdy. It was a little hard to figure out the installation but once we got it in we were happy. My Mother-in-law needs something to pull herself up on and she pulls herself up using this grab bar. I would buy again. Pleased with the item. It was a good value for a grab bar that would fit in a bathroom with regular height ceilings. I have another bathroom that it will not work in because I have a slanted ceiling. Be sure its suitable for your purposes. Highly recommend.

I was pleased with the materials with which this pole is made. It is finely threaded steel pipe with a powder coating that looks like anodized aluminum. All the parts fit with what seem to be very tight tolerances. When installed in an upstairs bathroom with tile floor the strength of this unit is hard to believe. I weigh 190 lbs and tested the strength of the unit by pulling as hard as I could against it. It did not deflect any that I could see, even though I know it must have deflected some. It is really solid and easy to assemble although an "exploded" drawing would have made assembly a little easier. It makes for a good day when things turn out this good.
