The pasta maker fitted as expected.
We have discovered that the consistency of the pasta dough is everything. Continually flouring the surface prevents sticking during rolling, then during the spaghetti cutting.
The spaghetti rolls out evenly and is easy to place on our drying racks. Beats any store bought spaghetti!
And so easy to wash and clean!

The media could not be loaded. I've never attempted to make homemade pasta before because just the thought of trying to was intimidating. I ordered the wellsure Pasta Maker Attachment because I thought it might make the job easier. It does!
The KitchenAid compatible attachment arrived with a cleaning brush, a thumb screw, and a detailed instruction booklet with 5 pasta recipes. The attachment is solidly constructed of a plastic housing with stainless steel moving parts. It weighs in at 3 1/2 pounds.
The pasta maker has 3 dough insertion sites: a sheet roller, a spaghetti cutter, and a fettuccine cutter. There are 8 thickness adjustments. I liked how once attached, the roller and the cutters were in place without needing to switch out any parts. There is a knob to easily adjust the rollers to the desired thickness.
The unit opens up for cleaning. The residual dough and flour easily brush away.
I was very pleased with how easy the pasta attachment was to operate. The unit seems durable, and it has a one-year manufacturer's warranty.

I like this Kitchen Aid pasta attachment. It fit and functions well. It comes with cleaning brushes and a locking screw knob. It also comes with an instructional manual that also has recipes. It opens up so that you have better access to the roller and cutters for cleaning.
The roller and cutters are stainless steel. The space between the rollers are adjustable so that you can do different thicknesses of pasta (and when making pasta you start of the thickest setting and feed the pasta repeatedly through the rollers as you reduce the space between the rollers using the knob at the front of the attachment until you get the thickness you want). I used to use a manual pasta roller/cutter and it works the same as this except that instead of hand cranking it uses the power of the mixer's motor which is a lot easier.

I have made a lot of pasta. I have rolled and cut it by hand and have used manual crank pasta machines. I think this is better since it saves time having to switch the crank among rollers and you don't need to handle the dough with one hand while cranking with the other. Instead, the mixer keeps all of the rollers going and you simply adjust the thickness of the main roller before cutting with the others once you have reached the desired thickness.
If you have ever attached anything else to your mixer, it is the same process. If you have not, you just loosen the nut, insert the pasta machine, tighten the nut, and go. Make sure the tab aligns with the notch that will keep the device from spinning and you're all good.
it works really well with a standard pasta dough. I have only used the linguine cutter so far and it does the job. It does cut completely through in "pairs" that you should separate so that the cooked noodles are individuals, but that is simple to do. Every other line is scored nearly all the way through, but not quite (see the noodles on the far right of my picture. This happens with the manual crank machines as well, so I don't think it is a real problem.
Cleanup was a simple matter of letting the dough bits dry and then brushing them off.
I am happy with this and will be trying the spaghetti setting for my next batch. I will update the review here if that is a problem for some reason, but I don't anticipate anything since the unit is well made.
