They say not to judge a book by its cover, but the cover to the "Easy Bake Oven Cookbook" is very cute! More importantly, the recipes inside sound, as the name implies, easy! The instructions are straightforward, the book is formatted to be very user-friendly, and the ingredients are ones most bakers would almost certainly have on hand. I also like that it is divided up into sections and includes recipes for more than just sweets. There's also "snackables" like salted pretzels and cheese wheels. I think the seasonal favorites would also be a hit since food"“especially treats!-- are such an integral part of holiday celebrations. I have no doubt that children and pre-teens could hone their baking skills with the help of this cookbook!

Purchased this cookbook for our 5 year old granddaughter as an add-on to the Easy-Bake Oven bundle set my husband & I got her for Christmas! The reason I chose this particular one is because it contained a lot more recipes that you could make from ingredients that most people already have in their kitchen as opposed to using a teaspoon of a boxed cake mix (which it also has THOSE recipes as well) She has made several of the recipes in the book already & they have been quite tasty! (Better than the over priced mixes made for the oven!)

Have you checked the prices (and ingredient lists) on the easy bake kits?! No way! This little cookbook is portioned for easy bake using ingredients you have right in your kitchen. It's SO CUTE and my almost 8 year old daughter loves being able to measure out and use real ingredients with a real cookbook! Bravo!
