Got this for a fun date night idea, and overall we like it. We bought a separate fondue mix and use this to keep it warm. The power cord is unfortunately very short, so you'll either have to sit oddly close to a wall or utilize an extension cord. Also, the "Warm" setting doesn't seem to keep our fondue mix warm for very long, so it definitely affects how much we focus on the food versus conversation. Might try a hotter setting next time, just don't want to burn anything.
The unit is easy to clean, and if you don't need to heat it you could also use this as a veggie platter for a party, so it's got a lot of flexibility as well! Happy with the purchase, but a more consistent heat and longer power cord would make this a 5-star purchase for sure.

Though the pieces just sit on each other and are all very very light weight, so easy to detach and not easy to pick up as one piece. But it heats fine and the electronic part doesn't get dirty, thus the bowl and the cup section are easy to clean. (hot water melts it off better than trying to scrape or scrub with soap)

We've found that it can also be used fairly well for cheese fondue as well as chocolate fondue. It's also good as a serving tray for things like mozzarella sticks while keeping marinara sauce hot. The only issue is that chocolate can be a little difficult to clean if you leave it on melt for too long. Finding replacement parts isn't easy either.
