Solid rod, difficult to line up w the wall studs. It's not going to work for my closet because it sticks out too far but that's how my closet is. The product is nice & I'd recommend

Be smart, screws with drywall anchors won't hold the weight of clothes plus the metal rod. Either mount it to studs (not easy considering studs are 16" apart so the bar doesn't line up with them) or get a board, mount that to the studs, then mount the rod. I used a piece of pine board ($20ish from Lowe's), put some tung oil on it and then hung it.
This would easily be 5 stars if they weren't providing tiny little screws with junky drywall anchors. That's just setting people up for success. Otherwise, quality seems pretty solid

Love the look of this, will say it's complicated to get the correct measurement and comes with no install directions . I did buy different anchors than what it came with as other reviews said it wasn't very sturdy with the ones supplied . Be sure not to assembly prior to putting it up unless you have someone to help you . I found it easier to assembly as I drill the brackets in. Overall very happy with the look
