The design is one that will last for 20 years. The polycarbonate "glass" is highly durable and well made. Sure, it's way more costly than the plastic $20. units that you can procure from HD. But, a bit of sun and a bit of rain and one hit by a small branch and they are done.

These are awesome covers. They are really well build and quite heavy duty. They are even better than described as they have a slope to them (high in the middle and lower on the sides) thereby repelling rain and snow. They are very easy to install and easy to remove for whatever reason you may have. They cost a lot more than Big-Box, but they are well worth it.
