This is a very nice and well crafted cigar cutter and punch that looks quite nice, feels nice to hold and works as one would expect it to work. If you want to show off a little bit when you are sitting around smoking some stogies, this may impress those around you who like fine cigar accessories. For the $60 price tag you would expect it to be a high quality well crafted item and it is.
It comes with a nice pouch that is perfect for storing it when not in use or when carrying it around with you to protect it.
When this arrived, it was in one of those plastic bubble wrap things that Amazon ships things in. That bubble wrap thing was sealed but the box this came in was damp and had obviously gotten wet somewhere along the way before it made it into the plastic wrap shipping envelope. That didn't affect anything except the outer paper cardboard piece that holds the box closed. If you were spending $60 on this and planning to give it as a gift that would certainly take away from the nice polished look of the packaging of this item.
Overall, this is an excellent cigar cutter and punch. It makes a nice gift item. If you are willing to pony up $60 for it, I think you will be quite pleased with it.

Best V-Cutter I've Ever Used

While the Xikar is a pretty good cutter, it doesn't do a V-cut. Don't get me wrong I love my titanium Xikar as it is built really well with sharp cuts and quality all-around. Still, it doesn't do the V-cut. Enter the Scott V-Cut guillotine. It is built like a tank out of all quality looking steel. While the blade is obviously stamped rather than machined that is about the only less than "military-grade" thing and it doesn't matter as the blade is insanely sharp. The V-Cut is adjusted by the pressure one applies to the hole when cutting. The button is perfect releasing the blade instantly or holding it securely until one applies adequate pressure to the button. I love mechanical things like this that are built to a high-standard. This is one of those things and as a daily cigar smoker I couldn't be more satisfied.

My cutter came a bit damaged. It was dinged or simply not cut properly causing the right side of the cutter to not be flush. It did mess with the cutting of my cigar, sadly. This could just be a simple one off as things do happen. Overall, the cutter is nice in hand and has a great feel. Nearly all of the reviews are for the black one, so maybe that's the route I should have gone. But I love the stainless steel look. I think if the cutter you receive is not damaged, it's definitely a great piece to have for cigar lovers.
**EDIT/UPDATE** shortly after leaving my review I was contacted by their Customer Support. They were extremely quick in replacing my cutter with a brand new one that was perfect! I have to say their customer service was top notch and I could not be happier. As I mentioned in my first post, the piece is terrific and feels absolutely amazing in hand. With anything, there will always be a few that fail; however, knowing how incredible their customer service was, I would absolutely recommend them and their products to my friends. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for other cigar products to add to my always growing collection as well!
