Nest thermostat power source

We have tried connecting a C-wire and the Nest Power Connector to provide power to our Nest thermostat but neither solution worked with our system. The OnTech technician suggested this solution and it is working with our system. This is not the typical solution Google and/or Nest recommends but it solved our issue. It might work for someone else.

Took a while to figure out how to wire it correctly. Had to Google and look at other reviews to figure it out. Comes in a box with no directions. Hard part was figuring out which R connector to use. I first tried RH and C and that didn't work. Then tried RC and C and it worked. I disconnected what was on RH and not sure what was on that connection. I needed the transformer because the AC and heater was not providing enough power to nest thermostat. I had a professional come out for 2 hours and couldn't get power to work. So I googled the solution and found this transformer product. Posted pictures on the setup. The white wires are from transformer. You can see in the photo nest showed no power in the battery menu VOC=0. Then when I added wires to RC and C, the VOC=27

Fixed my Nest issue with dropping connection to Rh Wire.. I might add I have an old furnace without the common wire or Rc wire! Heater used to shut off due to power issue! Solved my issue 100%. And can i say at an affordable price! Thanks !
