Makes stairs easy

I have 8-inch steps going into my den. This makes it feel like a ramp. I was able to take a 100 lb package down the steps without hesitation. It only came with an assembly diagram. However, assembly was fairly easy with a basic socket set, a phillips head screwdriver, and needle nose pliers for the pins in the axle.

Overall, I think this is a really good stair climbing dolly. As a matter fact, I think it is the most sturdy and well built stairclimbing dolly available. The only problem I had was with the holes not lining up on the axile for the carter pins on both sides. The instructions are not good and didn't tell us what to do with the two extra reinforcement bars that were included. I had to come up with a solution, because I was only able to put in one carter pin on the axle, and with it being uneven on one side, I had to put a spacer/washer in there to get the carter pins to hold both wheels on tightly. It did come with two bungee cords, which will be helpful to keep things in place while going up and down stairs.
I can't tell the difference between this one for $139 & the Haddockway for $209

The individual parts, including the molding of the bottom plate, are identical in form and assembly. Even the use of the cotter pins is identical. That's probably why the seller of the $209 unit says to check with them ... they won't promise to beat every competitor's price but they will try. I will try to remember to give a six-month review on it. Santon Craig.

The dolly is very sturdy and reliable. But what is even better is the company itself. I had a small problem with a damaged part and I contacted customer service and they were quick to and happy to replace the damaged part at no cost to me. I highly recommend the dolly and company. Works very well. There is a flaw that should be considered , and corrected. That when going up stairs there is no brake. If you slip and fall letting go of the handle it will roll right down the stairs package and all.
