My 7 year old son was so excited to receive this snow tube but was extremely disappointed that the one we received has a large hole in it. The packaging wasn't damaged at all during shipping but I noticed this rather large hole as we started pumping it up. It's not exactly easy to pump it up either, we used a bike pump but I think an air compressor would work so much better. It does come with some patches (blue & black) and one would think that they'd have a sticky back but these don't. We cut the patch down to size and used super glue in that area to patch it and that seemed to work but it seems air is escaping somewhere because it won't stay inflated. There are two sections to inflate (the base and the top).
The snow tube does seem like it's heavy duty though, the plastic is pretty thick.
I wish I could add more to this review but since we can't actually use it, I can't comment on how well it performs in the snow or could even recommend. Such a shame because we get our share of snow here in WNY.

The seller reached out to me and explained that the snow tube I received wasn't in fact defective and that "hole" in the bottom of the tube is meant to be there. My son actually still can use this snow tube and it works well (even though we "patched it"). I've updated the rating I originally gave it. I'd also like to add that the seller went above & beyond by providing helpful knowledge & feedback on the product.
The snow tube does seem like it's heavy duty though, the plastic is pretty thick.
