Good Enough For Instructors To Teach AED in a CPR Class

As a CPR Instructor, I teach the usage of AEDs to help make CPR more efficient and save lives in an emergency. The AED trainers provided to me look like preschool toys and I was looking for a better representation of an AED without breaking the bank. I was surprised by the size when it arrived despite noting the the measurements in the description. However, it was good to have a quick and lightweight trainer. Is it a good replica of a real AED trainer? Maybe. The training prompts are correct. The extra steps to connect the cords are not normal to AEDs that I have encountered. The voice prompts are somewhat British and a student commented that "shock" sounded like "shook". I will continue to use it to help students feel more comfortable with using AEDs.

Great teaching aid. It's small so it works well for teaching my five year old. The instructions are easy to follow and easy enough for a child to learn. The different size patches are great for teaching which one for adult and child.

I got these because of a couple reasons. A: the costs were definitely up there. B: I want something different than entirely all the same trainers. C: the portability of these based on their size. They have not disappointed on any level. Yes, they're truly that small which takes a little getting used to. But they're also different. As are real aeds. So it gets the students a different look which I'm all about. They also don't pause to "˜breathe breathe' or "˜give 2 breathes'. The metronome continues for the full 2 minutes.
