I honestly hadn't fully read the description of these shades, so when they came and were DIY assembly, I was a little taken aback. But as soon as I started to assemble the first shade, I realized how easy it is, and the finished product was done in less than 2 minutes and looked just as good as any store bought shade. The quality of the shade material itself is good - it is a lovely pattern with a plasticized resin-like backing for stability and rigidity to also allow for the right amount of light filtration through the fabric. I am happier than I expected to be with these shades and would highly recommend them.

I got these to replace old icky shades. They're shorter top to bottom than I thought, but they look really nice and my inexpensive table lamps look more expensive with them on. They were super easy to put together, and are sturdy.
