Great colors not so great white

Wonderful if you want solid colors. These are plastic, all worked straight out of the box and have stayed on from dusk till dawn since we purchased. My only complaint is that the white is not a bright white, it appears to look like a light green/blue on the stairs. Great for holidays and parties. Gives just enough light to illuminate stairs.

We were concerned the solar stair lights would be too contemporary for our historic register home. They are triangular blocks of lights with a solar collector on one side and were a bit obtrusive when installed as directed out of the stair overhang. We set them on the stairs without securing them in place and loved the subtle lighting they provide after sunset. We noticed that as the sun moved through its daily arc, it shone directly on each light at some time during the day so we moved them against the stair risers and under the step overhang where they still get enough light to shine every night and are not noticable during the day. These are a great value for the price, can be installed without permanent anchoring, and provide a subtle warm glow to safely illuminate stairs at night.

Got the 6 pack which was perfect for our 3 porch steps. Like how they are solar-powered and come on on their own for all the times we forget to turn on the porch light when coming home with arms full of stuff. Illumination is sufficient - we got the warm white so it's not as bright as it likely could be but we prefer the cozy & subtle ambiance the warmth brings to the exterior of the house. Nice and inconspicuous too so easy to shove to the sides and "hide" them with pretty lanterns / decorations while still benefiting from some background illumination.
