First of all I would like to say it's definitely more expensive on here, BUT it's more reliable and safe way to get it to you. I heard steam deck themselves still ship the deck with their branding on it so people will know it's a steamdeck. Here they put the box in a different box to hide that it's a steamdeck. This thing plays a lot of different games (way better than the switch which ONLY plays Nintendo games and at times frame rate drops depending on the game). The steam deck runs most games really well. It uses steam app which you can play on pc and if you want to you can play on the same save/game on steam deck (if compatible). The steam deck does have some weight to it so if you're not used to holding a handheld it could be noticeable. All in all,I could type more about this but it will be too long. TLDR I'm in love with this and I highly recommend it! ( took 2- 4 days to get to me from amazon. If it's coming from valve themselves it's 2 weeks + chance of being stolen or "lost") keep that in mind. If you're deciding to buy. Good luck I hoped I helped! ☆

Let me start off by saying this this is Amazing!!! I can't believe what this can do & I just got it. This is me coming from a PS5 perspective too!! I'm still getting use to it but it is totally worth it!! And let me say as well what helped a recent buyer recommend "RocketDrop" that's where I got mine from & it came super fast, brand new & works great'! I'm addicted. So when you see old buyers saying don't buy on Amazon, just check your sellers. Def real & rocketdrop was great

The Steam Deck is a great portable PC. The UI is intuitive, the software is zippy, the ergonomics are comfortable, and the track pads paired with the controller layout makes games made for keyboard & mouse very convenient to play. The ability to slot in a microSD was a great idea. Games running from the microSD card run very well to the point where adding/upgrading the internal eMMC to an internal SSD seems trivial. Please note that the 64GB internal storage is not ideal for modern AAA gaming. I suggest getting a microSD to alleviate this minor inconvenience.

The performance of the Steam Deck is equivalent to a Playstation 4 or Xbox One. Modern games like Baldur's Gate III (early access), Midnight Suns, and Final Fantasy VII Remake run very well. You may have to make adjustments to get games running smooth, but SteamOS makes tweaking the settings of any game very easy.

Whether you stick with Steam Deck 'Verified' games or if you plan on tinkering with the settings to get 'Unsupported' Steam games to run (which you definitely can with enough research or help from the Steam community), there's no denying that the Steam Deck is evolutionary and a major step forward for mobile PC gaming (especially at this price point).
