I've started to record youtube videos and this is great. The built in microphone's audio isn't terrible; but buying a microphone for clearer audio is probably better. The remote is my favorite part. You do have to turn of the date stamp manually through the settings; but it's very easy to find everything. I have a 64GB SD card for the camera, and it gives me eight hours to film. It also has a tripod mount on the bottom that's very easy to use.

Would be five stars, but it took a lot of tries and was frustrating, but I did find the MD, and I will try it out now and see how it does; it's for hummingbirds so that may be tough. Ignore the digital zoom, they're never any good beyond a couple of feet. Most importantly, I wish the company who has made a good-faith effort for me would simply update the small manual, and see that all functions are covered and defined. Hence, my ratings are going to reflect the good customer service and the eventually-all-good camera functions I was looking for; which includes a remote (included) too. Night vision is something I might play with, as well; I wonder if MD will work under NV for security purposes. That'd be handy!

Great point and shoot video camera recorder. My son recently saw an old video of me when I was young and saw one of those huge video recorder my father had and he wanted one. I found this one had some good reviews so we bought it and brought it on vacation with us. We had a lot of fun with it especially my son. It's got all the bells and whistles. LED touch screen, time-lapse, motion detection recording, self-timer, continuous shooting, pause function, smile capture. We captured many memories with his recorder. We watched it all when we got back and I was pretty impressed. The picture was clear and the sound was really great. It was a great buy. I recommend for families looking to capture some moments old school style.
