I can't speak to the durability of this as we just got it but he wanted a plane and this met all his expectations. I don't think it's meant to be a toy for small children but more of a display plane but he's 7 and I knew he'd play with it so we'll have to see how it holds up. I did advise him to be careful with it but, he's a kid.
