I did a lot of searching and review reading before I made this purchase. I got what I expected and I thought I'd share my experience so far.
There were a few key features that had me make this purchase.
First was that this model lets you program the watering time in seconds. Others only allow minutes. Depending on how large your plants are, minutes can be too much.
Second was that it didn't have a WiFi option. Most may think "wow that would be awesome". I don't. First I want this to last a long time. Adding on WiFi is just more hardware that can eventually fail and render this useless. Also on the WiFi, I can't honestly come up with a scenario, as shown in some of the marketing photos, where I need to be adjusting my watering time, or schedule, while I am walking down a city street. I'd want to see why I need to make a change, then I'd want to be sure I got it right and I don't come home to dried out plants or a wet floor.
This unit was the best choice for me.
Where it lost one star:
1) The programming on it is a bit quirky when you start the first time, but as other reviews share, you can figure it out.
2) The drip units "watering stakes" are ok, the T connectors are a bit on the thin side. This was my biggest concern.
3) The manual reads as if it is from someone that bought one and gave a detailed review. Seeing " I think" in a manual seems odd.
Reading the reviews I expected #1 & #2 and they were correct. So this is what I did.
I went through set up using the manual. On the first try I got my watering duration and schedule set. It was easy. Getting it to run on the schedule took a second try.
When I purchased this unit, I also bought an add-on dripper package from a competitor. This competitor package had slightly bulkier hose Ts which makes me feel more confident nothing will come apart. Also the new drippers are actually valves you can adjust. There are 2 benefits here. First you can adjust the amount of water based on the size of the pot/plant. Second if you have a long run of hose, the last plant may get less water if all the drippers are the same. Using valves you can adjust them to even out your water flow much better.
Long review, but I hope it helps.
Would I buy this again? Absolutely. I have no regrets and I knew what to expect. I can accurately set my water times, the unit has all the features I need, and I can adjust the water flow on every plant individually. If Moistenland could bulk up the Ts and look at other drip options, they would have no competition.

A great drip system with outstanding support backing it up

I have three WiFi Moistenland drip systems and they are working great. When I first set one system up I had problems in that it was pumping water at less that half the rate it was supposed to be. I contacted support and they noticed (from pictures I sent them) bubbles in the output line and said that was because the filter was clogged. I don't know if it was clogged when I received it or if it got clogged during the first run. Since my water was fresh and clean and it didn't work right the first time I used it, I think it was a defective filter. I used one from my second new system and it worked perfectly. The support team sent me a replacement filter (and hose and drippers) at no charge. I received it in 2 days.
I configured the 15 plant setup, as shown in the manual, and measured the output to each plant. With that data, I was able to determine the number of drippers/plant and the required run time. Programming with the Smart Life App was very easy. I used the "Cycle Timing" for my orchids. I set it up to water twice a week with 3 irrigation cycles of 30 seconds in 1 hour. That allowed the orchids to have time to absorb the water rather then having it just run twice a week for 90 seconds with the water just running over the roots.
The thing that surprised me the most was the great support I received from the Moistenland support personnel. Although it was only by email, they were very fast in responding and addressed my problems completely. Outstanding support plus a good drip system is why I gave this 5 stars.

Great product, great customer support -- but watch out for defective units

This product is great for anyone who wants to water their plants consistently and automatically. I keep a small indoor garden at home but travel very often for work, and so I was looking for a way to make sure that my plants (peppers and vegetables) can survive 1-2 weeks without my attention.
This DIY drip irrigation kit does the job nicely, but I would warn customers to watch out for quality control issues.
First, the pros: (1) very easy to set up, (2) nice options for watering up to 99 seconds at a time, in time intervals ranging from every 1 hour to every 30 days. This covers many types of plants from water-intensive vegetables to cacti. (3) A good amount of piping and drip ends are included -- I use several drip ends for my larger plants, and fewer for my smaller plants.
Cons: I would have given this product 5 stars, but unfortunately the first unit I received was defective -- it would only pump correctly sometimes -- and this inconsistency was a major flaw since reliability can mean the difference between healthy plants and dead plants after a long vacation.
I'm giving this product 4 stars because customer service is responsive and eventually sent me a replacement product that looks like it's working (which makes me think my initial pump was defective). This product still looks like the best value for the money on Amazon, so I definitely recommend it, but I have to dock 1 star for the initial defective product.

Very easy to assemble!
Elizabeth✓ Verified Purchase•December 4, 2023
This was very easy to assemble. The plastic hose connected securely to each splitter and have not had any leakage. The water flows smoothly and you can hear it working without it being overly loud. I have it watering my plants that are not easily reached since they were being neglected due to how high up they are. I chose to install batteries but you can also connect it via the USB cable provided. I was a bit messy with setting it up (I could have cut the hoses much neater so that they weren't visible from the front but I didn't care much for that) but chose to set it up rather quickly. Do make sure you are checking your water source so that there is no mold buildup. You can try activated charcoal in the water to ensure it stays pure.
I have mine set to water for 60 seconds, every twelve hours.
The options provided are how long the watering session is, how often (every few hours or days), and the delay in starting. If your delay start time says 0, this means it will start watering them immediately, then water them again in as many hours or days that you set. If you want it to start watering in a few hours (let's say it's 1pm and you want it to start at 3, then you would put a 3 hour delay start time).
Definitely recommend.
The only downside is the clip to mount the pump would leave the pump sideways so I chose to just rest it above the cup I'm using as my water source.

This is a great kit. I purchased the DIY Micro Automatic Drip Irrigation Kit because we intended to travel for a few days and my wife's tomato plants require regular watering. It is great that everything needed is provided in the package - the programmer/pump, drip heads, tubing, filters etc. installation required only a few minutes.
The unit can be powered by either 4 AA batteries or with the included USB cable. In my case I skipped the batteries and used only the USB cable and a spare cell phone USB Charger I had.
Programming the unit is simple as well. You will set How Long the pump is turned on to water your plants (1-99 secs or 1-5 mins) and How Often the pump will do this (I set mine to every 4 hours). The pump provides 500ml per minute, so you can calculate how much water your plants are receiving.
In fairness, I did have some difficulty when first programming the unit. It seemed simple and the first cycle always worked fine (first cycle is immediately after completing programming. This can be delayed by providing an additional parameter). But subsequent cycles failed to start. I communicated with the seller, Andy, via email and he was very responsive in providing me suggestions or offering a replacement unit. In the end, it was a simple solution. He suggested replacing the batteries and unplugging/plugging the USB cable. I did unplug the cable and I installed fresh batteries (initially I had no batteries). As soon as I installed the batteries the pump began watering the plants. I then connected the USB cable and the unit has been reliably watering the plants ever since.
All in all, I'm quite happy with the setup.
