I bought the Repotting Mat for Indoor Plant Transplanting and Mess Control 27"x 27" to repot my seedlings from my AeroGarden seed starting tray and it worked beautifully. Even though it is the small sized mat, it worked great on my kitchen counter for repotting the 20-plus seedlings into 3-inch pots. I brought the potting soil in from the garage in a small bucket and set it, along with about six empty pots at one time on the repotting mat with the sides of the mat snapped together to prevent spillage. After finishing the transfer of the seedlings to the pots I unloaded the mat, unsnapped two of the snaps, raised the mat, making a funnel of unsnapped sides and poured any spilled dirt back into the bucket, wiped down the mat, unsnapped the remaining two corners, refolded it along its original fold lines and stuck it in a gallon-sized zipper bag and stored it for the next session. Because not all seedlings were ready for repotting at the same time, the great little mat made it simple and quick to set up for the next transplanting in just seconds, with the kitchen counter needing only a quick wipedown afterward just to make it ready for food prep. My lovely tomatoes, squash, and other plants are now waiting for it to warm up enough to be planted outdoors.

I am thinking of additional uses for the mat, such as using it flat on the counter for larger food prep projects such as laying it (with sides snapped up) on the ground when harvesting my peas and beans and tossing the produce on mat after picking. It would work well to pick up the snapped corners and carry for the next step in prepping the produce. Will have to see how that works and update the review.

I may buy another one to keep in the kitchen for use when preparing larger quantities of veggies for dehydrating or freezing. It could make cabinet clean-up faster, or protect other surfaces when I need extra workspace.

it works great for me easier cleanup

This is a decent size and really helps with messes when trying to repot plants. I wish the material were just a bit thicker, but it does feel durable. The clasps seem like they will hold up well.

There isn't anything complicated about this product, but it doesn't need to be. It worked nicely to keep my kitchen island clean while I potted several new plants, and when I was done, it was rinsed off and folded and put away. Simple and works. What more can you ask from it? Oh! Good price. There's also that. :)
