2006 Winnebago Journey 34H, replaced the stock dual 15 watt florescent 16" tubes with one of these in every ceiling fixture.
Just one of these 10 watt lights in each fixture is brighter than two 15 watt florescent 16" bulbs. I have 4 ceiling fixtures, changing to these saves me 20 watts per fixture, so 80 watts in all.
Yes these do have their own switch, however the switch stays on or off, it won't change when the power is disconnected so you can do like I did and mount them in the fixture in the on position, put the original fixture defuser lense over it and control the light from your exterior switches.
Mounting: I took the original ceiling light fixtures down, clipped the feed wires between the light fixture and the ceiling. Then removed the bulbs, then the ballest cover, discarding both, drilled out the rivets holding the ballest and the bulb sockets at each end. Removed ballast and sockets with all wiring and discarded them. Then wiped down the inside of the fixture with acetone. Applied the 2 way tape to the bottom of these new LED lights and then centered them in the OEM light fixture. Connect wires to those in ceiling (check polarity first) reinstall fixtures and light diffusers and that's it.

I purchased these to add to the anemic single light in the pass through storage in our travel trailer. Though the adhesive strips provided looked stout, I went with the screw in clips that were also provided because the raw wood surface of the upper framing would probably not be the best surface to try to use the adhesive strips.
