The HWSTAR 2023 7" headlights look great, appear to be well built and, are very bright. Very nice, hard light cut off to make adjusting very easy. They come with an adapter if you have a different/older connection. This is where the fun ends. The actual fitment of the headlights do not sit in the slots. There's a notch that is just a bit too big but, with the metal headlight rings, you're able to secure them pretty nicely. While it might just be an issue with the headlight rings that I've got but, the lens portion of the light is a bit too snug into the ring. With a little force, it's possible to get them into the ring.
All in all, love the style and brightness. Installation was slightly troublesome but, would buy again.

It was time to upgrade from the old sealed-beam lights, but I was hesitant to with replacement LEDs. I originally wanted to swap to a JK housing and use LED bulbs because of past experience, but I ultimately rolled the dice on these. I'm really glad I did!
Replacement was no different than replacing a sealed-beam. Remove the trim ring, remove the retaining ring, unplug the old bulb, and plug in the new unit. Quite literally plug-and-play for a TJ with the H11 socket. It does come with adapters to go from H11 to H13 for a JK with a halogen bulb as well.
These lights are VERY bright, especially compared to the sealed beam bulbs. One of the reasons I was hesitant to replacement LED units is that inexpensive ones tend to bleed a lot of light above the cutoff, blinding oncoming drivers. I've experienced it myself with other oncoming jeeps, and it's annoying. In this case, their claims about the Z-shaped cutoff are no joke...it's a very crisp cutoff line, and it allows for a little more light high and to the right of the vehicle to help illuminate the side of the road without blinding oncoming traffic. Despite the obvious increase in lumen output, I have yet to get flashed by oncoming traffic.
If you are looking to replace your current lights with something bright, but don't want to invest $400+ in headlights, I highly recommend these! Easy to install, excellent performance, and minimal light bleed.

Low beams are amazing and the beam pattern is outstanding. I get comments on how bright they are.

High beam burnt out after a month with only 1 use. It was an unfortunate event.

Company was quick to contact me and to make it right. I got a replacement set sent out quickly within two days after are emails on how I wanted it to go.
