Foam doesn't really stay put you have to tape it but it does the job. Roll is shorter than I thought I needed but I wouldn't buy another for $10 for the quality that the foam is

This was just a little thinner than I'd have liked. But it certainly did the job.
I used it to separate my holiday plates while in storage. I think it will be fine for that, but it certainly isn't thick enough if you are shopping anything. Unless you double it up.

Not very thick. Was a little disappointed in how thin the foam is. Some furniture I bought came wrapped in a foam wrap that was double the thickness of this. I had hoped I was getting the same high quality in this product. Since we were mainly using it to put in between plates and to wrap glasses we made due using this foam along with a some old newspaper as cushioning. Overall it worked enough to store some dishes and such.
