Good but the remote is not good user experience

I have this and another model with the square remote, both have the exact same tail light and worked great, but this remote mounting system did not work out well for my situation as the screw was too long and ended up scratching my gear display. The remote button layout is also not user friendly for me as in a pinch I end up pressing the bell button by accident when signaling. It may just me be, but I find the square remote version works better for signaling. The security alarm feature, however, is brilliant! I wish they had a version where we can hide Apple Airtags.

The alarm is awesome. I have had issues with theft in the past and generally feel uncomfortable leaving my road bike locked up when I want to ride around to get drinks/food during the day. I try to keep my bike in sight by either sitting in a patio area, or having an unobstructed window view. It's nice having an additional layer of security, so I can be alerted if someone is messing with my bike, while I am trying to enjoy a Negroni or breakfast burrito at one of my favorite local spots. The tail light is clearly durable and well designed for simplicity of use. The control unit is easily detached, so I can stow it in my pocket after locking my bike and setting the alarm. As of now, the battery life seems pretty legit, as I have not had to charge it yet, so either way, it's exceeded expectations.

Bought this taillight for Christmas and couldn't help myself; I took it apart to see what was inside and take some measurements to determine battery life in various modes, including standby/sleep. My first impression upon unboxing that it has high build quality, especially considering the reasonable cost. The further I got into dissection, the more I became impressed by it. It was designed by one or more highly-competent engineers as the component selection, layout, mechanical construction, etc. were inline with what I would've done. They even went as far as adding test points with clear marking so that I nerd like me could get to analyzing it. The brake and turn signals have various modes so the battery life will be dependent on what is selected; however, if we assume the constant-red mode and my measurement of ~12mA with a 1500mAh battery, the battery should last as much as 125 hrs after a full charge. I also checked the quiescent current (standby/sleep) and it will take over one year to drain the rechargeable battery. I also appreciated the USB-C charging since it's much more durable, and common these days, than the old micro-USB.
Overall, I'm really impressed with the mechanical, optical, and electrical engineering and I would highly-recommend it for anybody, especially with the long list of features and affordable cost.

This reasonably priced all-in-one multifunction remote controlled taillight/brake light/turn signal/horn/motion-sensing alarm unit performs exactly as described, and should make any cyclist feel much safer. The alarm is quite loud as one would desire, and should deter all but the most determined thief. The intuitive remote functions perfectly, and even includes a small key ring clip to prevent loss when removed from bicycle. A separate taillight set button is located on top of the taillight unit to allow directly setting the desired rapid/slow flash vs steady modes before and shutoff after rides to reduce depleting the remote battery. Easily audible turn signals remind one to terminate the signal once turn is completed. Removable taillight unit fully charged via included USB-A to USB-C cable in 2-3 hours. Installation is straightforward; if you find that your handlebar is a bit small to adequately secure the remote mounting bracket without a loose fit allowing bracket to rotate despite the 2 included silicone rubber shims, as did I, a couple of loops of electrical or gorilla tape wrapped around your handlebar at your desired mounting site should shim up a tight fit nicely.
