This cookie press is solidly made, with the main body being made of stainless steel. The press action is smooth and easy on the hands. However, fitting the plunger into the unit is a bit tight. I found it easier, once the plunger was in place, to simply load the tube from the bottom, attach the shape of choice and continue in this way. Once the plunger is removed, it's very hard to fit back into the tube. This made cleaning a bit more challenging than I would have liked.
