Nice after oiling
lulum✓ Verified Purchase•September 18, 2023
This is a pretty cool little rolling pin. I love the patterns which will make some great holiday cookies. It is pretty parched though, so I treated it with grapeseed oil. I soaked it really good. This will help keep the wood from possibly cracking and will help cookie dough release easier. Having treated with oil it will be easier and safer to clean with water and a bristle brush when needed, though additionally treatments would be a good idea. When rolling out on cookies be sure to choose a recipe that does not have sticky dough and you should be good.
A quick way to make a batch of sugar cookies

This pin is a quick way to enliven a batch of simple sugar cookies. The engraving is deep enough to emboss the cookies, but not so deep to get jammed up. I use a springerly-type recipe.

A new cookie for Christmas
Deborah✓ Verified Purchase•August 3, 2023
I was looking for something different for Christmas this year, and I've been wanting one of these. I rolled out a shortbread dough and cut them with a rippled tool I have for cutting veggies. They turned out pretty darn good! I was worried that the imprint would bake out, but as you can see, it is still visible.
Cookie fun

Oh my gosh, love using these rolling pins. Planning a cookie party with my grandkids and their friends. They have all kinds of different rolling pins with patterns to choose from. I have collected five now and need to get more. Amazing all the different designs they have. Take some frosting and put a spoonful in each bowl, add food coloring and the kids can use little brushes to paint their cookies. Wow, quality time with the kids and adults. Fun, Fun.
Thank you.
