There's a very thick coating on the strainers but product description says to hand wash. The black and gold is very pretty but the inside screws are silver. Would have been nice if they matched the black on the outside part of the screws. Would definitely look nice as part of your kitchen decor, if you have the room.
More than just a strainer

Updated my plastic strainers to these 2 black metal ones. Now that I have them, they're just too pretty to use for straining pasta and rinsing off fruit and everything in between. They're sprayed with a flat black powder coating with 2 handles on the sides and a gold trim in the top. It's nice that they have a foot at the bottom for when you strain anything in the sink. I will be using them for straining and washing stuff, as I don't have the room to display them on my counter, but they're fashionable enough to do just that. If you put your fruit in a bowl these strainers or colanders would work well too. Enjoy 😊
