Overall it is sturdy, has lots of organization options for papers, and accessories (pencils, pens, etc.) We bought this for my son's dorm room. The desks in a dorm room aren't that big. This organizer was so large we had to move it to his dresser to leave room for his computer and a place for him to do his studies. So if you don't have a large desk top I would consider another organizer.
